Performix®
Performix® - This is our signature product line; a high performing strength based concrete that utilizes the most cost effective water reducers to produce mixes ideal for tailgate or small line pump placement. Available in pure cement or 15% fly ash replacement mixes in 500psi increments, from 2500 psi to 4000 psi.

Green Concrete using up to 50% recycled cementicious materials – Working with P.K. Mehta, the world’s foremost authority on fly ash use in concrete, Right Away has completed many successful projects using this cutting edge material, helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from cement production and diverting material from landfills.

Basic Mix Designs

5sk, 3/4”The workhorse of the industry, this product is the standard for general use concrete. It meets most residential, municipal and state specifications for minimum standards and with slight modification may be pumped on larger projects. Strength is generally rated at 2500 psi.

6sk, 3/8”- The material to use when confronted with smaller jobs that have difficult placements, making pumping a necessity. Recommended for use in architectural (i.e., color) applications and is easily worked for intricate jointing patterns or stamped. Strength is generally rated at 2500 psi, but is more expensive than 5sk 3/4", due to the higher cement content.

Pervious Concrete

This is a “no fines” concrete that allows water pass through it, directly into the substrate, eliminating the need to place drains or gutters to collect and divert storm water. It can greatly reduce the impact of storm water runoff pollution and the liability associated with it. Ideal for parking lots, especially in areas of freeze/thaw, as it essentially eliminates the formation of surface ice.

Structural Lightweight Concrete

In applications requiring a unit weight of concrete less than the standard 150pcf (pounds per cubic ft), Right Away can produce an expanded shale aggregate concrete the will attain 3000 psi, 4000psi or 5000 psi with a unit weight of approximately 110pcf. This is a perishable product and is only done on a custom basis. Please allow at least one week for delivery. We have not fully developed an insular concrete (less than 50pcf) using perlite, nor do we produce a gaseous lightweight concrete.

Shotcrete

We have a variety of mixes that are easily sprayed, have excellent contact properties and create little rebound in this “formless” application suited for walls, tunnels, bridge overheads and hillsides where building forms is impractical. The largest aggregate size is 3/8” and mixes range from 6.5sk to 8sk, producing between 3000 psi and 4000 psi. Typically they have less coarse aggregate than conventional pump mixes and are delivered in a “stiff” or less plastic condition.

High-strength Material / “High Early”

We have some limited experience designing high strength material, the most successful being 7800 psi in 9 days for the UC Berkeley Field Station. Our forte has been designing concrete to exact specs (i.e., 2500 psi in 14 days breaks within 100 psi +/- 24 hours) and concrete to meet a “high early strength”. We have the ability to meet 3 day strengths for loading docks and foundations, 30 hour strengths for entries and roadways, or even a 4 hour Caltrans spec for freeway pavement.

Controlled Density Fill (CDF)

At the other end of the spectrum, we have invested a great deal of research with EBMUD and PG&E in material that will achieve 95% compaction, but maintain a low compressive strength. They reduce labor costs as they are place in minutes rather than hours and can be paved over usually within 24 hours. These “hand excavatable” products are designed to not exceed 200 psi in two years and are ideal for backfilling areas that may need to be excavated again at some later date.

Self-leveling Concrete (overlay concrete)

a highly fluid, rock-less mix that can be placed in members less than 1.5” thick, and feathered down to 0”. Offered as cost effective alternative to ARDEX and other specialty floor toppings.
